We woke up this morning in Chiapas and had a lovely breakfast. After packing all of the medications, we drove to our first town. After we unpacked and had lunch, we were welcomed into a local's home, and they served us coffee. The woman tried to have us pay her in “thank yous”, which did not work. We then traveled to the temporary clinic in Coapilla where I worked in the pharmacy alongside Michael and Ashley. Seeing the mountains and towns was a beautiful sight. Everyone is very kind and welcoming. Time seems to slow down in Mexico. People aren’t in a hurry or super busy, and it exudes a calm feeling. Everyone is so happy, and so grateful when the doctors help them, and it puts a smile on everyone's face. We were able to help everyone there, and ended the work day around 7:30. It was hectic and a bit stressful, but after a few hours, all was well. We had another delicious meal, and walked back to our hotel. It was a beautiful, warm day that ended with a successful clinic.
